When two cancer survivors meet to discuss life before, during and after cancer it couldn't have been a better match. As you know Touraine Lynch was diagnosed in 2001 and Maimah Karmo was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in February 28, 2006. It was a friendship that would blossom into something bitter sweet. Touraine & Maimah were both cancer free when they first met. I recall when I received the pain staking, bitter telephone call from Maimah Karmo exclaiming that she had "Breast Cancer". Going through this life altering event I was able to discuss with her the emotional side effects of cancer and it's treatments. Together we discussed how we could help influence, motivate, inspire, and encourage those diagnosed with "CANCER"! READ MORE...


LOUDOUN COUNTY INTRODUCES YOU TO THE 2008 HONORED WALKER TOURAINE LYNCH

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Light The Night Walk is an annual event to raise funds for cures. It’s the nation’s night to pay tribute and bring hope to thousands of patients and their families. Funds raised through Light The Night Walk support the work of hundreds of the world’s best and brightest researchers in their search for better therapies and cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Anyone can take part—children, adults and seniors are all welcome. This is a casual Walk with no fitness requirements. Touraine Lynch is the Founder and CEO of Spinning For Life and is a cancer survivor and Army veteran. Pursuing the Leukemia and Lymphoma Societies mission by advocating for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, she is taking action to help promote and get the word out on this horrible disease "cancer". "

In 2003, at the age of 28, I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma," said Lynch. "I was a sergeant stationed at Ft. Stewart in Georgia.
